I most recently got a taste of Netflix. I signed onto a one month free subscription. At my disposal was the liberty to watch a number of movies. The purpose of the one month free subscription was for me to get a taste of what they had to offer in hopes that I will purchase a monthly subscription to Netflix. Since I knew I had just one month to watch anything for free, I told myself, “I’m going to take advantage of this and watch many movies.” I watched more moves in this one month than I did in 6 months combined. I knew I had a limited time before the subscription ended, so there was an alertness in me to watch movies
The day after my trail for Netflix ended, I awoke and my spirit was grieved. I began praying and the Holy Spirit led me to read Psalm 34:8-10. Yet I still felt grieved, so I asked Father God what was causing this grief… He answered me swiftly:
What would your life look like if I gave you a one month free subscription into My presence? How would you spend your time then? If access to Me was only free for one month? Maybe then you will have an alertness to seek Me with your whole heart. Maybe then you will see that nothing else matters than relationship with Me. Maybe then you will taste and see that I am good. Maybe then the fear of God, My words, My love, and My plans for you will be your desire. If I limited access to Me for just one month, maybe then you’ll see the imperativeness of being in communion with me more than just in the mornings! Maybe then you’ll pray with faith and not pray amiss. Maybe then you won’t live life religiously, but truly become a follower of My Son. Maybe then you’ll realize you can’t continue to serve two masters, having one foot in the world and the other in My word. Maybe then you’ll decide not your will, but God’s will be done. Maybe then you’ll cry out to me in humility. Maybe then you won’t be afraid of people’s faces and you’ll be separated from what others take pleasure in. Maybe then when I search the world for some to stand in the gap for others, I’ll find you. Maybe then you’ll have a heart broken for the lost. Maybe then you’ll begin to proclaim that Christ Jesus is coming back! Do I have to make access to me a one month free subscription?
(At this point I was already broken, and weeping, but God was not finished with me.)
It breaks My heart when you choose other things over Me. Access to me is completely free. I’ll never subject you to have only one month of Me! It breaks My heart when you choose entertainment over My glory. It breaks My heart when you become desensitized to wat your eyes see. It breaks My heart when you choose ministry over Me. When you think ministry is what you’re called to do, No, I called you to Me! It breaks My heart when you can’t taste and see that who I Am is Good and what I have for you is good. The truth is those who seek Me shall lack no good thing. It breaks My heart when you believe the lie, thinking, “entertainment helps with boredom,” No, in reality entertainment is a Band-Aid to unfulfilled purpose! It breaks My heart when you casually seek Me in the morning and think it will sustain you. Yes, My word will sustain you, but your thought of only seeking me in the morning is a warning for you. I’m God of the entire day. I’m with you throughout. It breaks My heart when you lit me to a perspective that you can understand. When I’m beyond your comprehension, just have faith in Me. It breaks My heart when you see the lost sheep and not utter a word. Will you not at least pray for them? It breaks My heart when I give you access to me, but there’s no zeal from you to purchase what is free.
Remember David, Daniel, and Paul. Remember Peter, Mary, and My Son. David was a man after my heart. Daniel, with a broken heart, interceded for all. Paul live d a life that declared, “Anything I do other than live for Christ means nothing at all.” Peter who once denied me, filled with the Holy Ghost, would preach to everyone no being afraid of their faces. Mary chose to take in everything from Me. And My Son said, “Father not My will, but let Yours be.”
So I’m calling you to Me. You have free access to everything! By the Holy Spirit you will come to see that nothing the world has to offer is greater than Me. So taste and see that the LORD is good, blessed are you who trust in Me. Through afflictions, test, and good times too, access to My truth will never be closed from you. I’m with you for more than one month. I’ve been with you before your life began. You don’t have to purchase access to Me. It’s already been done, when I sent My Son. So now come!! Come to Me!!
Psalm 34:8-10- Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trust in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.
I love to write. These writings come from my time in the Word of God, from observation, and trails in life. I pray that you will be blessed as you read them.
