Have you ever been in a relationship and those small but big moments happen? For instance the first time you hold each other’s hand. I remember holding my fiancée’s hand for the first time and it was amazing! A small gesture yet meaning so much! As the one initiating for her hand to grasp mine, so many things were going through my mind even before she responded. It’s in this simple moment that God revealed Christ love for me.
Standing in the midst of the congregation my heart beats heavy like a kick-drum.
Riding on the city bus all of my being is overrun with longing.
Walking the concrete sidewalks on campus, I feel like I'm drowning in amazing grace...
It was the most agonizing time of the year for me. Hearing the merry tunes of Christmas songs berated my ears. Seeing the decorations caused me to seethe on the inside. A Christian who deplored Christmas. I had a wounded heart, but it has been refreshed.
I most recently got a taste of Netflix. I signed onto a one month free subscription. At my disposal was the liberty to watch a number of movies. The purpose of the one month free subscription was for me to get a taste of what they had to offer in hopes that I will purchase a monthly subscription to Netflix. Since I knew I had just one month to watch anything for free, I told myself, “I’m going to take advantage of this and watch many movies.” I watched more moves in this one month than I did in 6 months combined. I knew I had a limited time before the subscription ended, so there was an alertness in me to watch movies

Have you ever participated in something you didn’t prefer and felt uneasy, restless, and just ready to go? Well maybe it wasn’t because of preference you felt like that. Could it have been your pride making you feel restless because you didn’t get your way? I’ll share with you my experience when I confused my preference with pride.
Stepping out of the white van, I entered a new world. Underneath the city of Chicago is concrete maze. This is the place where many homeless people live. Under Wacker Dr. another community of people dwell. The experience blessed my soul and changed my perspective on life.
There are 228 neighborhoods in Chicago! Before moving to Chicago I didn’t think too much of the term neighborhood! Now, it’s a big part of my life. Knowing the neighborhoods is key to figure out where I’m going. Since studying about the neighborhoods in Chicago, the LORD put it on my heart to pray for them. He was looking for someone to stand in the gap.
I love to write. These writings come from my time in the Word of God, from observation, and trails in life. I pray that you will be blessed as you read them.
