![]() With great expectation I was ready to open the Word of God, but I paused. My eyes caught a glimpse of a candle on the living room table. The fire was trying to escape the entrapment of the glass jar. I sat down by the living room table and read the candle...Harvest Reflections...Highly Fragranced Candle. This was very interesting to me so I took note and began reading the Bible from where I left off on yesterday (Luke 9). I was going to stop reading after I got done with Luke 9, but I decided to read chapter 10 as well. Once I began reading Luke 10, specifically (Luke 10:1-12), I got extremely excited because it was talking about when Jesus appointed 70 people and sent them out 2 by 2 into the places where Jesus would go. The people who Jesus Christ sent out were forerunners for Jesus before manifested presence came to those places. (Luke 10:1"..and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go") Today the Lord Jesus Christ lives inside of us and we are forerunners in a different aspect. We are forerunners to go into every place (jobs, school, the street, etc..) to manifest Jesus Christ, allowing the Holy Spirit to have His way. We are forerunners before His second coming. In Luke 10:2 Jesus says "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." After reading this I was reminded of the candle that was on the table. Harvest Reflections I began to think about my part in being a laborer for the harvest and about my prayer life for the harvest. Jesus sent out the 70 with instructions and said they are as sheep among wolves. (Luke 10:3-12). However, even though they were sheep among wolves there was no need to be afraid because Jesus taught about the fear of God (Matthew 10:27-31). The 70 went out and came back to Jesus rejoicing because they found out that demons are subject to the name of Jesus. Then Jesus told them that He gives them authority to trample on serpent and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:17-20) There's a greater understanding about the authority which has been given to us by Jesus Christ once we go out into the harvest. Not being afraid of men which can kill the body, but having the fear of God and boldly proclaiming, sometimes verbally, but always in our lifestyle the Kingdom of God is here. After I got done reading though the Scriptures I sat quietly and waited for God to speak to me and He said this: "You are a highly fragranced candle set ablaze by My Spirit within you. What I speak to you in private, speak openly as a lamb amongst wolves. My flame in you is not just to burn for nothing. Come from behind the bush. I have called you light in this world. A light that sits atop of a hill for all to see. I AM the Fire that burns the wick of your heart. I AM the Fragrance that sets you apart."
